For a Fun & Educational Activity for Your Science Class, Tour the EnergySolutions Disposal Facility
The EnergySolutions Foundation offers educational field trips to the EnergySolutions low-level radioactive waste disposal facility, located in Utah’s West Desert. An EnergySolutions scientist accompanies the class to explain the science behind the facility. The tours can be customized to your educational objectives such as physics, chemistry, environmental science, or engineering. The EnergySolutions Foundation provides the transportation from Salt Lake City and box lunches. Teachers should plan on the field trip lasting four hours round trip from Salt Lake City.
