Scholarship Info
The EnergySolutions Foundation offers a merit-based scholarship program that recognizes excellence in academics. The scholarship is given to one 10th grade student per eligible high school to pursue a bachelor’s degree in math, science, or engineering. Recipients receive a $2,000 scholarship. The top 10% of recipients are entered into a Distinguished Award competition to receive an additional $2,500, $5,000 or $25,000 scholarship

Must submit all application materials on or before February 3, 2010.
Scholarship Criteria
The EnergySolutions Foundation places a great emphasis on determination to succeed. If you meet the following criteria, we encourage you to apply for a scholarship:
- Confirmed enrollment in 10th grade at an eligible high school
- Minimum GPA of a 3.5 on a 4.0 grading scale and maintains a minimum 3.5 GPA through 12th grade.
- Declares one of the following majors at an accredited university or college: Biochemistry, Geology, Biology, Geophysics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Ecology, Meteorology, Engineering, Physics, Environmental Sciences
- Active participation and/or leadership in school, work and/or extracurricular activities, such as math clubs or science fairs.
Application Process
October – February 3: Applications submitted to the EnergySolutions Foundation.
February 3 – February 10: Applications are sent to the selection committee (industry and academic professionals) for review.
March 15: Scholarship recipients announced on website.
April 26: Distinguished scholarship recipients announced on website.
