Recipient of the $5,000 National Distinguished Award in 2009, Rebecca Hu began an eight week summer internship for the Young Women in Science program at Pacific Northwest Laboratory. She is part of the Statistics and Sensor analytics group and will assist in preparing a journal article which will summarize results from previous controlled studies with swab, wipe, and vacuum samples of surfaces contaminated with Bacillus anthracis or surrogates.
